$3,679 partnership keeps Inverell Jockey Club COVIDSafe

Inverell Jockey Club has teamed up with the Inverell Women’s Shed to keep patrons COVIDSafe during the 2021 racing season, using a $3,679 State Government grant to engage the organisation for COVID marshalling and cleaning services.COVIDSafe procedures have placed added pressure on volunteer run organisations which have needed to provide workers to clean facilities and monitor the movements of people at events. In order to stay ahead of the curve, Inverell Jockey Club will use this money to engage Inverell Women’s Shed for touch point cleaning of the amenities and enclosures. The club will also purchase two additional sanitising stations, with hands free soap dispensers and refill product.

This grant is supporting two well-respected community organisations, which have both worked hard to give the community a social outlet throughout this most difficult eighteen month period.

I congratulate the Inverell Jockey Club and Inverell Women’s Shed on this partnership which benefits not only themselves, but helps to keep races meets running and visitors spending in town.ADAM MARSHALL Member for Northern Tablelands
