There’s a lot of excitement in the town and due to the high level of interest the Jockey Club has organised a bus to bring Tingha racegoers to the track. The bus will leave the Royal Hotel Tingha at midday to head to the racecourse and the return trip will leave the Racecourse to head back to the Royal Hotel Tingha at 5:30pm. Back in the days of the Tin rush there was an abundance of pubs in Tingha, wealthy miners and Horse Racing was king. Today Tingha’s passion for racing has never been stronger with two local Jockeys bringing the crowds back to the track. Tingha’s Ms Yvette Lewis and Ms Zoe Lee Cruickshank have been very competitive riding multiple winners in the 2020-2021 season. The ladies excel on the Inverell Track and we look forward to seeing them in action again on STA FM’s Ladies Day, Saturday 20th March.
