Tom Melbourne winner of over $1.4M was in the great hands of Chris Waller. TOM was one of the most talked about horses of the 2019 – 2020 season and was featured in many a comedic racing cartoon. An incredibly talented horse who struggled to win but you could put the house on him that he’d run 2nd (51:6-14-4).
Well… Al Foran had the Tom Melbourne of NSW Country Racing in RUBY TWO SHOES. Endlessly just missing the prize (62:5-12-6).
While this is a fun award accepted in good humour it goes to show what a consistent trainer Al Foran is and how much heart RUBY TWO SHOES has.
